Power cuts during special prayers

Power cuts in Andhra Pradesh is irking common men. And even on Eid-Ul-Fitr, one of the big festivals of the world, there was no cease to power cuts in the state. At around 8 am prayers started in Hyderabad and in many places generators were on. Our sources overhead people discussing that even on Eid there were power cuts. But, in Vijayawada people raised their voices against the government. Muslim brethren were offering special prayers and there was a power cut. Irked over this, several people reached Payakapuram sub-station and staged a dharna there. TDP, YSCR and CPM extended their support and took part in the dharna.

Muslim brethren votes are crucial for any party to come power or retain its position. Already YSRC is reportedly attracting a large number of Muslim vote bank in coastal Andhra region and Congress party irking Muslim brethren on festival can prove costly to the party, said political observers. They even said that chances were very grim for Congress party for retaining the power in 2014. However, they even said that the party can at least start acting now, which can brighten the chances of its victory. That can be done only by solving electricity problems and declaring Chiranjeevi as the chief minister candidate, added observers. Will Congress now at least look into these two important factors, which will reportedly decide the future of the party, is a million dollar question.
