Chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy spoke to a national news agency on the burning Telangana statehood issue. He has told that Centre should decide on Telangana at the earliest. He has also said that the state government would abide by the decision taken by the Centre. He even said that the opinion and views of pro and anti Telangana activists were sent to Delhi. While there were many rumours that the movement for statehood hampered the overall development of the state, Kiran Kumar denied them. He said no investment was obstruction due to Telangana movement.

The political observers said before Centre decides anything on Telangana statehood issue, Congress party should come out with a clear stand as it's known that Centre threw the ball into the courts of eight recognized political parties in the state on this issue. While many parties gave their stand already TDP, Congress and YSR Congress are yet to come to a decision. TDP sources, however, said its supremo would soon write to Centre in favour of statehood for Telangana. In case that happens, Congress would be cornered in the state, opined observers.
