Venkaiah Naidu: Govts should allot 10P of budget for medical sector

BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu has said that centre and state governments should allot 10 per cent each from their budgets for the development of medical and education purposes. He has also opined that privatization was important for education and medical sectors. Further, he asked the government to include all diseases in Arogya Sri keeping in view the increased number of diseases due to rapid change in the lifestyles. It may be noted that only a few diseases and medical conditions come under Arogya Sri scheme and BJP wants the state to include all diseases.

The political observers felt that common people are fearing to go to government hospitals due to lack of proper facilities while they are fearing to go private hospital due to low pockets. So, it would have been had BJP demanded the government to provide better infrastructure and amenities at all government hospitals, added observers.
