Congress MP Ponnam Prabhakar has asked TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu to write a letter to the centre on Telangana issue much before he takes out padayatra in Telangana districts. He has even urged the ministers from Telangana region and the chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to elucidate the centre on the significance of statehood for Telangana.

Condemning the rumours that Telangana supporters were planning to spoil the image of Hyderabad city, Ponnam Prabhakar has said that Telangana loyalists had no such intentions.  It may be noted that Telangana march in support of T state is scheduled to take part on September 30, a day before bi-diversity meet.
