ABVP, the student welfare union, has called for universities bandh across the state on October 10. APVP national executive committee member T Ramakrishna confirmed this to the media at a press conference in Osmania University of Hyderabad. There are multiple reasons behind the bandh such as subsidized domestic gas to colleges and universities, appointing of teaching and non-teaching staff at the universities. ABVP urged the students and lecturers to support the bandh. Will a day's bandh can really solve the problems? If that's the case then every other day there would be bandh given the number of problems in not just education sector but in all sectors, said political observers. Bandhs are nothing but a move to establish the supremacy of the people who are conveying. They actually don't reap any benefits but in turn trouble the people to the core.
