In the wake of the speculations that there would be a possible change in the top leadership in the state, AICC political observer to state, Vayalar Ravi clarified that no discussions took place on the change in leadership. He has said that the present chief minister has no threat.  Earlier, Congress leader Renuka Chowdhary has also said that there would be no change in the leadership and termed the news on change in chief minister as unfortunate.

Vayalar Ravi, who ruled out change in chief minister, has said that a few representatives from the state met him in Delhi and discussed Telangana issue with him. He said he would convey the same message to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi at an appropriate time.
