The state capital looks tense with the Telangana Political JAC planning to go ahead with its proposed Samara Deeksha near Indira Park on Sunday (January 27) at 10 am. In fact the T JAC Chairman Kodandaram met the home minister Sabitha Indira Reddy for the proposed protest. However permission for the massive protest was denied by the home ministry citing security reasons. In spite of this denial, TJAC proposes to take up the deeksha to highlight the demand for a separate state before the Congress announces its decision on the issue on January 28.
It may be noted that the Congress has already signals that announcement would take a little longer owing to continuous holidays and the union home minister Susheel Kumar Shinde's foreign trip. However the main reasons is due to the profound pressure exerted by the Seemandhra leaders for a unified state.
The irony is that on one side Seemandhra leaders are holding massive rallies and meetings to highlight their demands, but the T leaders are denied the same.
The itinerary for the proposed 36 hours T protest would commence with a padayatra by the leaders from the TJAC head quarters in the New MLA quarters at 9 am, today.
The elected representatives from the TJAC also propose to walk from the Assembly to the venue. TJAC has called all its MLAs to participate in the event and make it a grand success. T JAC leaders have ascertained that the government is thoroughly responsible for any eventualities in the process of their proposed protest.
Security has been beefed up in the twin cities owing to the protest. The TJAC has also called on the protestors to start the protest as per schedule at their respective places if they are not allowed to proceed further.
The other issue that the capital is facing is a possible protest from the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, whose leaders are expressing their ire on the ruling government over the arrest of their leaders. Under these situations there is a considerable tension in the air, express critics. For further updates keep watching these columns. (Wishesh AarKay)
