Tension mounts up in Samara Deeksha that commenced on Sunday (January 28). The Osmania University was charged up with the student organizations planning to make a sit-in protest in front of the Raj Bhavan. The students who were moving out of the campus from the ONCC gate were opposed by the police guarding the gate.

Immediately the agitated students started pelting tones at the security personnel who in turn fired water canons. For moments the place was charged up and eased later with the police being furious. Many students were arrested by the police and dispatched in the parked vehicles to the nearby police stations.

Telangana Political JAC planed to go ahead with its proposed Samara Deeksha near Indira Park, in spite of denial by the home ministry citing security reasons. TJAC has also called on the protestors to start the 36 hours T protest as per schedule at their respective places if they are not allowed to proceed further. Based on the call the students wanted to protest in front of the Rajbhavan, however the bid was foiled by the security personnel. Many leader of the TRS were also arrested at various other locations.
