GRP police in Visakhapatnam were vigilant enough to nab the drug peddlers in the Railway station while they were trying to transport over 400 Kgs of the most commonly available narcotic that is available, Marijuana.

Marijuana which is commonly termed as Ganja is a widely available drug primarily due to the availability and the pricing. For a good variety of the drug, the dealers charge somewhere around Rs 200 per 10 grams (Tola), a measure in which it is sold. Students form a large majority of the victims to the peddlers. They first give away free quantities to students in Universities and charge money once they get addicted to the "weed".

The police have arrested six people in connection to the illegally smuggled Ganja which they have been meaning to transfer to Howrah for sales. The illegal narcotic was seized.
