MLC elections are in the air and this is the only topic, which has been discussed among political circles now. While TDP is looking forward to taking support from many other parties such as MIM and Left Parties, BJP said that it's not going to support any party in the MLC elections. Addressing the media, the state president Kishan Reddy has said that he has taken this decision since they had no major number in the assembly. Also, he has said that so far no party has sought the support of BJP in MLC elections.
It may be noted that Congress and TDP have already declared their MLC candidates list. Jayasudha from Congress party expressed her dissatisfaction for giving ticket to Banda Karthika Reddy's family, there were some disappointments in TDP too. Dhadi Veerabhadra Rao, who was expecting MLC seat apparently got disappointed but then said that he welcomed the decision of TDP. Anyway, general elections too are just one year away from now. Therefore, these MLC elections look like a warming up exercise for the ruling and opposition parties although public has nothing to do with MLC elections.
