The Telugu Desam Party President Chandra Babu Naidu had been revealing the strategy of the Congress Party as he gathered information from his own sources and as an experienced statesman.  The bail given to Jagan is supporting Chandra Babu’s conclusions, as political circles are gossiping. 

As Congress Party was losing its hold on the State, series of party meetings and the opinions gathered through the party stalwarts at Delhi by paying visits to the State made them to conclude with an idea to gain hold on the State and also check the opposition parties.

Chandra Babu reckoned the Congress Party’s strategy like this- 

The plan is to merge TRS party in the Telangana region and merge or get support of YSR Congress party in Seemandhra region.  In order to get the former’s support Congress party announced its decision to bifurcate the State as demanded by TRS i.e., with 10 districts and Hyderabad as its Capital.  It made the State’s main opposition party TDP in a trying position as it was forced by the situation previously to announce that the TDP is not against Telangana Statehood.

Although the Congress party faced a temporary opposition from Seemandhra region (as the party thinks), it can be won over by making Jagan popular in the Seemandhra region which makes the TDP lose in both the regions of the State.  Jagan will emerge as a popular leader in Seemandhra by opposing Congress party with resignations and also by weakening the position of TDP by its statements.

The merger of YSRCP with the Congress party will take place at an appropriate moment.  If it doesn’t fit in the strategy of the Congress Party, the YSRCP will support UPA Government which was already admitted by the party’s honorary President YS Vijayamma long back.

That way, Congress party made its strategy to win the State and either merge or weaken the opposition parties in the 2014 elections for Assembly and also for Parliament.

The critics and intellectuals interested in the political developments say what Chandrababu expected is coming true.  They think that the CBI can pull the strings or loosen them as per the instruction given by the Center depending on the political situation.   They also recollect the statement of Chandra Babu Naidu before Jagan was arrested that Jagan woud stop talking against Congress party once CBI is put after him.  Time and again he was also calling YSRCP as the child that will any how go back to Mom- Congress Party.
