Jagan's Hunger Strike Disrupted

YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan successfully completed 5 days of his indefinite hunger strike for Samaikyandhra on Wednesday.  But as his health deteriorated drastically and needed immediate medical attention as per the advice of the doctors from Osmania Hospital, the police interfered and forcibly took him to NIMS hospital at 11.00 in the night on Wednesday.

The party men and supporters of Jagan tried to prevent police interference.  Doctors at NIMS immediately took charge and took necessary preliminary precautions.   Jagan’s mother YS Vijayamma who was at Delhi rushed to Hyderabad.  Jagan’s wife Bharathi and party leaders also reached NIMS.

Jagan had been observing fast for 5 days at his Lotus Pond residence.  As per the doctors from Osmania Hospital who checked him in the afternoon on Wednesday said that the sugar levels and pulse rate have come down and he needs medical attention.

The police went to Lotus pond at 11.00 pm and literally lifted Jagan from there.  The entire operation was carried out smoothly under the direction of Addl Commissioner Mallareddy, West Zone DCP Satyanarayana and Taskforce DCP Rameshiah.

YSRCP senior leader Konatala Ramakrishna criticized the Government that it is functioning in a dictatorial fashion.
