BJP's Sweep in Four States

Modi Mantra is evident in the BJP's sweep in the four States for which Assembly elections were held.

Although the elections were at different dates in the States the counting is conducted and results are announced on Sunday so that the results in one State should not influence the voters of other states.  Even the exit poll surveys reports were objected to be made public.  In spite all these precautions, Modi’s extensive tour and his speeches made good impact on the voters as the general opinion goes in the country.

In addition to the BJP’s Prime Ministerial Candidate Narendra Modi’s cherishma, the Chief Ministers’ roles in the respective States also are to be considered as critics say.

Above all it is widely believed that negative votes against Congress party also contributed to the BJP’s win.  Congress party has lost credibility in the country as people at large say for the BJP’s sweep in the four States.

BJP won 115 seats out of 230 in MP, 34 out of 90 in Chhattisgarh, 83 out of 199 in Rajasthan and 20 out of 70 in Delhi.  Excepting in Chhattisgarh where BJP has got seats equal to Congress party, in other states BJP out won the congress party.  BJP has received a tough fight from Aam Admi Party at Delhi.

Counting for the Assembly elections held at Mizoram will be started today.
