In the steering committee meeting held on Friday by the Telangna JAC presided by its Chairman Prof. Kodandaram, the JAC leaders questioned the political party Telangana Rashtra Samiti’s accepting Congress leaders into the party and giving them party tickets for the 2014 elections.
Agenda of the meeting of TJAC was to decide the political strategy for the elections that should be followed by all the political parties in Telangana.
It came in to the discussions that TRS has been trying to undermine TJAC since July last year.
As per the decision taken by the TJAC, the lower cadre workers of the committee stamped Congress party leaders as Telangana traitors and their effigies were burnt and a call was given not to give a chance to represent the people of Telangana. But now, the same leaders after changing party became purified and became Telangana fighters, point of which is strongly objected in the meeting.
As the heat went on to the political strategy of TRS, its leader Shravan walked out from the meeting.
Will it be considered as reconstruction of Telangana, asks the leaders of the TJAC, if the MLAs elected in 2009 elections change parties and elected again in 2014? The JAC cadre could not be got B Forms for JPTC MPTC elections and that is the fate of the situation they complained.
Some JAC leaders were given party tickets. Kodandaram said that others interested in the politics also may join political parties. But the proposal came that the JAC leaders contested in the elections will not be allowed to come back to TJAC irrespective of their winning or failure in the elections for which Kondaram agreed.
