As expected TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao is elected as the party's Legislature leader. The newly elected MLAs and MPs gathered at the Telangana Bhavan at 12 Noon. Huzurabad MLA Etela Rajender proposed KCR's name as Legislature Party leader and moved a resolution. All the MLAs have strengthened his name and so KCR is elected has the TRSLP leader.

With this, the line is cleared for the TRS chief to become the first chief minister of separate Telangana state which will come into existence from June 2nd.

TRS party is also considering to go to New Delhi and request the newly formed government to reconsider the Appointed Day date. A decision on this may arrive in couple of days added a source.
