Modi's fashion touch

The US President Barack Obama's presence at the Republic Day celebrations is the talk of the town but one man tried his level best to steal the show from Obama. Well, he his none other than Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the historic day, PM Modi exposed his fashion skills by wearing a suit that had gold-embroidered letters spelling out his full name, 'Narendra Damodardas Modi.'

Designer Raakesh Agarwal specially designed this suit for Modi and he said, the name was not embroidered but hand-woven and it requires a special technique called Jacquard  which costs around Rs 80,000 upto Rs 5 Lakhs depending upon the fabric. The suit was stitched by Jade Blue, a Ahmedabad based garment store. This brand is also authorized of another label called 'Modi Kurta' which was named after Modi, who generally wears the casual half sleeved kutra.

At the dinner hosted by Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, Obama expressed his wish of wanting to wear a 'Modi Kurta' and we hope, PM Modi fulfills his wish.
