Amarnath Yatra Continues Post Terror Attack:- Amarnath yatra happens once in a year and thousands of tourists make it for the yatra despite of tough climatic conditions and terror smells. Jammu and Kashmir has been unrest from the past few months after a series of border attacks by the Pak troops. However stepping ahead, amidst tight security, terror groups started firing on the innocent tourists who have been returning to Jammu on Sunday night. Seven have been reportedly killed in the incident and several have been seriously injured. The incident took place on Sunday night at 8.30 PM. The Jammu and Kashmir government brought extra forces so as to ensure that Amarnath yatra tourists will be secured and will return safe back from their state.
A fresh batch of piligrims left for the Himalayan cave shrive between tight security. 3791 yatris left the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in 101 vehicles, including 55 buses and 46 light motor vehicles. They left for the yatra at 4 AM today informed sources. The government wanted the 40-day yatra to take place without interruptions and it promised a safe trip for the tourists. The Monday’s terror attack in Khanabal seems to make no impact on the yatris that left for the Lord Shiva’s visit. A multi-layered security cover has been spread across the trip and the security has been stretched.
As per the information, nearly 35,000 security men drawn from the army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have been specially monitoring the security across the Amarnath trip. The government already informed that the attacked bus was moving without any security and it has not been registered with the Amarnath yatra shrine. Despite of the attack by terrorists, the bus driver made sure that the bus was not stopped and he kept it moving because of which several lives have been saved. One of the victim revealed that there has been a shower of bullets and they hid behind the seats to protect from the terrorists.
The Jammu and Kashmir government already ordered some strict action on the culprits and special teams have been searching for the terrorists. They started attacking the innocent tourists said the government. The Jammu – Srinagar highway has been covered with security troops and strict orders have been imposed for the security troops to attack the terrorists if any attacks have been located. On the other side, the tourists have not back stepped and are eagerly waiting for their turn to witness Lord Shiva. Over 1.5 lakh pilgrims visited the yatra this year which has been located 3888 metres above the sea level.
