Rajinikanth Political Entry Locked:- Superstar Rajinikanth has been busy with back to back films and it has been over five decades the actor made his debut in Indian cinema. He has a huge fan base all over and is one of the highest paid Indian actors currently. The actor wrapped up the shoot of his next titled 2.0 in the direction of Shankar which is said to be the costliest ever film made in the history of Indian cinema. Amy Jackson is the female lead and Akshay Kumar is the lead antagonist. Produced by Lyca Productions, 2.0 has been aimed for Republic Day release next year.
Rajinikanth has been in plans in making his political entry and there have been several speculations about his debut. However Superstar trashed them always saying that he is no mood to join politics. With the sudden demise of Jayalalithaa, the political situations in the state changed completely and Rajinikanth decided to make his entry. He has been interacting with several leaders and his fans from the past couple of months. He has been reviewing various situations and about the parties. A close source of Rajinikanth revealed that the plans for his political party have been in final stages and the actor will announce this in the next two weeks.

The first schedule of the movie took place in Mumbai and a massive Dharavi slum set has been erected in Chennai where the film is currently being shot.
