KCR All Set for TSRTC Privatisation:- Telangana Chief Minister KCR issued a strict deadline of November 5th asking the TSRTC employees to join their services before the completion of the deadline. The TSRTC employees seem not much bothered and they continued the strike. As per the update, only 208 employees reported back to work by Tuesday out of the 49.340 employees which is a huge blow for the TRS Chief. KCR who is strict on his stand is all set to privatise TSRTC today. All the remaining 5000 routes will be offered to private operators and KCR took the call already.

A review meeting will be conducted today and it is just formal about TSRTC privatisation. KCR earlier said that all the employees who will continue the strike from November 6th will no longer be considered as the employees of TSRTC.  The VRS for the RTC staff would be announced in the next couple of days as per the labour laws. The Centre is yet to respond on finalizing the board of directors as it owns 31% share in the corporation. Telangana government will issue permits to private operators to run the routes and things will be official in the next couple of days. The TSRTC JAC said that the Telangana government cannot privatise TSRTC without the nod of the Centre.
