Coronavirus India tally drops below 40,000:- For the first time in the recent times, the daily tally of new cases of coronavirus dropped below 40,000 mark in the country. A total number of 38,310 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the total tally of Indian cases to 82,67,623. The death tally is at 1,23,097 and the new deaths reported in the country are at 490. Around 76 lakh people in the country recovered completely from coronavirus in India till date and the total recovered cases stand at 76,03,121. The recovery rate stands at 91.96 percent and the fatality rate in India is at 1.49 percent.

The active cases are below six lakh for the fifth consecutive day which means that the wave of cases is slowly coming down. The active cases in India are at 5,41,405. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total samples tested in the country in total are said to be 11,17,89,350 and the samples tested yesterday are said to be 10,46,247. Telangana witnessed a hike in the number of cases and the tally stands at 1536. The total cases reported in Telangana are said to be 2.42 lakhs and the death toll is at 1351. The cases in Andhra Pradesh too came down and the state reported 1916 new cases on Monday and the total reached 8,27,882. The death tally in Andhra Pradesh is at 6719.
