Coronavirus daily tally stands at 1,31,968:- The second wave of coronavirus is all over the country and it is unstoppable now. A total number of 1,31,968 cases are reported in India in the last 24 hours and the total tally reached 1,30,60,542. 780 people passed away in the country in the last 24 hours and the number of recoveries in the country reached 1,31,968. The total number of deaths in India are now at 1,67,642 as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The active number of coronavirus cases in India stands at 9,79,608. The total number of people who took up coronavirus vaccination in the country are at 9,43,34,262. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total samples tested in India till yesterday are said to be 25,40,41,584 and the samples tested yesterday are 13,64,205.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed that there is no chance of one more lockdown in the country and he asked the states to conduct more tests and increase the vaccinations. The coronavirus positivity rate in Delhi jumps from 2.8 percent to 8.10 percent. The states that are short of coronavirus will receive the doses for the vaccine very soon. Maharashtra is the worst hit state in the country. 2478 cases are reported in Telangana in the last 24 hours. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said that more than 36 lakh vaccine doses are given in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate in the country dropped down to 91.22 percent. Several states imposed night curfews over the weekend to curb the spread of coronavirus.
