Extremely Intense High Rain Fall Alert For Telangana:- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Telangana as they are expecting extremely high rainfall in the state along with Hyderabad for the next 3 days.
Till July 27th extremely heavy downpours are expected in the eastern, northern and central parts of Telangana. A red alert was issued in Hyderabad, mainly in the areas of Charminar, Khairatabad, LB Nagar, Secunderabad and Serilingampally. On July 26 and 27th, IMD alerted Hyderbad for intense rainfall. In Nizamabad last 24 hours the rainfall was recorded as 464mm. Residents of the city and Telangana state are requested to stay indoors and take necessary precautions and plan accordingly.
GHMC has reported an average of 32.1mm of Rainfall in 2 hrs with Hayatanagar and Goshmahal receiving 41mm in 2 hrs. GHMC also released a helpline number – 21111111 for any sort of help around GHMC limits.
GHMC wrote on their official Twitter account, “Heavy rains in the city. Monsoon emergency Teams and DRF teams along with all the officers of GHMC are on the field clearing water stagnation. Request people to remain indoors. Reach out to GHMC helpline through 21111111”.
