Narendra Modi launches various projects in Kerala:- Prime Minister Narendra Modi contrasted his government with the previous United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, emphasizing its weakness and instability, which resulted in terrorist attacks that hindered investment. In contrast, Modi's administration has prioritized the development of infrastructure, including ports and ship-repair clusters, to position India as a global maritime power. He urged Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in Kerala to highlight this difference to voters.

Modi made these remarks during the second day of his visit to southern India. He inaugurated three significant shipping and energy projects in Kochi, visited the Guruvayur temple, and addressed a gathering of BJP workers. This marks his second visit to Kerala this year, following his earlier trip to the state, Lakshwadeep, and Tamil Nadu on January 2 and 3.

During his address to approximately 6,000 BJP representatives, specifically those responsible for booth operations, Modi encouraged them to identify individuals benefiting from government schemes and engage with their families. He urged them to understand how voters can gain from these schemes, address their concerns, and assess whether they have experienced the benefits of initiatives such as Digital India. Additionally, he highlighted the PM SVANidhi yojana, which caters to the needs of street vendors.
As the person in charge of the booth, it is your duty to take care of the families in your area. Encourage people to register themselves in the voter list so that no one is left out of the voting process," he advised. He also mentioned that the BJP worker should convey the message of the previous "ineffective and unstable government" that existed before 2014 during their visits to households.
"During those times, there were terrorist attacks that had a negative impact on investments and our citizens abroad. You should inform the voters that the politics of the LDF and UDF revolve around corruption and scandals," he added. These two major political coalitions usually take turns in power in Kerala.Furthermore, he instructed the BJP workers to participate in cleanliness drives in temples leading up to the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple on January 22. He also requested them to light lamps in their homes on that evening.
