Injured Pak prisoner in Jammu jail from a tussle with other prisoners died today morning at the PGIMER where he was admitted last Friday and since then medical treatment was going on.   

The prisoner Sanaullah was serving life sentence at Kot Balwal Jail in Jammu since he was convicted under TADA in 1999 for blowing a bus.  Fellow prisoners assaulted him on the very next day of the occurrence of the death of Sarabjit Singh who was assaulted in Lahore jail in Pakistan.  Sanaullah’s close relatives visited him on Wednesday while he was in the intensive care.  

The doctors released a medical report on the condition of Sanaullah yesterday evening which shows that his condition was serious.  The body of Sanaullah, the hospital authorities say, will be handed over as per the Government instructions.  

Attack on Sarabjit Singh in Pakistan, the way jail authorities encouraged the attack and lack of proper medical treatment in time that caused the death of Sarabjit was criticized by everyone.  A stern action and cutting of all ties with Pakistan were demanded by the political leaders.  The relatives of Sarabjit demanded that he should be treated as a martyr.  

Now what we have to say about this incident?  Was the attack on Sanaullah was instigated at jail?  Did Jail authorities fail to take immediate action to save the victim of the attack?  Did we fail in giving the best treatment available in India?  Should we call Sanaullah also a martyr too?  What BJP and Sikh

Sympathy always goes in favor of the victim or the person sustained loss but restraint is a need of that moment.   Politicizing an incident and fanning the anger of the close ones and the society only widens the gap between two factions.  The principle applies at every level.  It can be a family feud or a village fight, between two communities or a difference between two countries.
