Mint-flavoured cigarettes cant' be easily given up

United States (US) regulators on Tuesday brought into prominence a review of scientific data that revealed the fact that menthol cigarettes are harder to quit than regular kinds, at the same time asked for public input on a possible ban. Furthermore, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stressed that the mint-flavoured cigarettes do not appear linked to a higher risk of disease, yet do likely present oneself being a public health risk above that seen with non-menthol cigarettes.

The FDA said it is seeking additional information to help the agency make informed decisions about menthol in cigarettes. In fact, the 60-day public comment period relates to potential regulatory options. The FDA's own independent review of the available scientific literature showed that newer smokers considerable amount have their preference towards menthols.

Therefore, menthol cigar even though not connected to higher risk of disease yet has another big risk that it can't be easily given up.

Remember, precaution is better than cure! Now, it's up to you to decide whether to quit or not. I guess, it's better not to start then there will be nothing to quit!
