Kingfisher king and liquor baron Vijay Mallya was once a role model and inspiration for many. However he gave the country a miss and flew to London leaving many nationalized banks unpaid. He owes Rs 9000 crores for these banks and the Indian government is working hard to bring him back to the country. On Thursday, the Supreme Court of India asked Vijay Mallya if he disclosed his assets honestly.
He has been absconding since last year and the Supreme Court asked Vijay Mallya to return back the dues to the banks. Vijay Mallya came out with an explanation that he has no money and cannot refund the debts of Rs 9000 crores. He also clarified that all his assets have been attached by the Enforcement Directorate.
