Cotton Mills in Telangana Appeal State Govt To Waive Power Penalty Charges:- To waive the power penalty charges levied on the cotton ginning and pressing industries in erstwhile AP State, the Telangana Cotton Millers and Traders Welfare Association has appealed to the State government.

Addressing media persons on Tuesday, Bommineni Ravinder Reddy, President, Telangana Cotton Millers and Traders Welfare Association, said the cotton industries have been sanctioned certain incentives for VAT/CST (Central Sales Tax), ‘pavala vaddi’ and power incentives, but not released so far. He said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had promised to waive the power penalty charges and urged the government for immediate release of the arrears to the tune of Rs 600 crore.

The association reiterated that lakhs of laborers were dependent on industries for their livelihood and appealed to the government to take measures to resolve their financial problems and and aid them run their operations smoothly.
