Kerala Priest Held For Sexually Abusing 10-Year Old Girl Inside Church:- According to police sources, in a shocking move, a Kerala Priest was arrested on Monday, for allegedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old school girl inside a church.

The police said that when the victim had gone to the church for taking Bible lessons, the crime took place on Sunday. The accused, Fr Devaraj (65), of Kandanthitta CSI Church was produced before a magistrate on Monday evening.

A case under POSCO (Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences) Act and section 376 of IPC (rape) has been registered against the priest, said the police.

It was the girl’s father, who first saw his daughter being abused by the accused when he came to pick her up, and he immediately informed the police.

Police added that the accused had been functioning as the priest in the church, since the past one year.
