Stone Quarry Blast In Kurnool Kills 10:- In a massive explosion in a stone quarry in Kurnool, atleast 10 people lost their lives and few others have been injured. The detonator blast took place on Friday  at around 8.30 PM in a quarry that belonged to Srinivasa Chowdary at Hathi Belagal village of Aluru block. The explosion's impact was huge as the blocks from the quarry fell flung into the air and fell on workers sheds. Soon the quarry was left in flames and surrounded the entire area. Three tractors, a truck and shed were completely burnt.

The houses in the nearby villages got cracks because of the blasts and they ran out in panic. Eight bodies have been taken out from shed and some of them have been crushed in the stone blocks. All the injured have been rushed to Aluru Government hospital. All the workers are from Odisha. AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu expressed his grief over the mishap and he asked the Kurnool district authorities to overlook the relief operations.
