Nine Special Trains Arranged To Bring 2 Lakh Migrant Workers To Andhra Pradesh:- The government of Andhra Pradesh arranged nine special trains to bring back two lakh migrant workers who are left stranded across various states due to the coronavirus lockdown. AP Health Minister Alla Nani said this in a statement and he also ensured that 12,794 migrant workers who are in Andhra Pradesh will be sent back home safely. He said that the government of Andhra Pradesh came up with a perfect plan to help the migrant workers reach their home safely. All the migrant workers returning back to the state will also be offered food and other facilities. Alla Nani said that two lakh migrant workers from 13 states will return back to Andhra Pradesh very soon.
Special quarantine centres are arranged to conduct the tests soon after the return to the state. Village secretariats are working on this and they are turned into quarantine centres for the returnees. One lakh beds are arranged across Andhra Pradesh. Food with fruit kits will be provided for the migrant workers who are travelling back to Andhra Pradesh. The travel expenses will be borne by the government of Andhra Pradesh. The Health Minister said that the lockdown will continue strictly in red zones and containment regions in the state. The government is arranging the food essentials and medicines to the doorstep for the people. Alla Nani appealed the people not to rush to the state border as the relaxation will be applicable for only the migrant workers.
