Indian Students and Families Caught up in UK Flights Cancellation:- With a new strain of coronavirus wave in the United Kingdom, the Indian government suspended all the flights coming from the United Kingdom till the end of this month. Many Indian students who planned to travel back home and several Indian families, businessmen during this Christmas and New Year are caught up with the sudden suspension of the flights. A new strain of coronavirus is detected in some of the parts of the United Kingdom. Several Indian students who made up plans to travel in December are now suffering as they had set up plans to leave the campuses in which they are studying.
Christmas and New Year happen to be the busiest season for travel between India and the United Kingdom. Several tourist visas are largely suspended and some of the Indian families are now caught in the United Kingdom because of the recent suspension. Sanam Arora, Chair of the National Indian Students and Alumni Union UK (NISAU-UK) said there is significant concern from the inbound and outbound Indian students. The Indian High Commission in London issued several messages on its social media platforms with updates from the Ministry of Civil Aviation in India. Some of them are completely worried if this ban would get extended.
