Adults are recommended to sleep for 6-8 hours in a day. The doctors suggested to avoid caffeine and alcohol during the sleeping hours.
As per the experts, sleeping on the side is the best ways to keep the blood pressure under control. This would be good for the patients who are suffering with hypertension. The side sleep position will relieve the excessive pressure on the blood vessels and will help the blood to circulate well without any resistance. This is also applicable for pregnant women. There are risks of sleep apnoea which is a disorder when breathing starts and stops suddenly. The doctors advise the patients to sleep for 6-8 hours in the night. One should cut down the intake of sodium, and salt along with processed foods and sugars.
