As of now just the ace Indian tennis champ Leander Paes is the sole survior at the venue. Rest all of them had a dilapidated return, say sources. The duo lost 2-6 5-7 to second-seeded Americans Mike Bryan and Lisa Raymond in just 55 minutes. The Duo had been totally out-classed by their high profile opponents.
However the good news is that fourth seeded Paes with his Russian partner Elena Vesnina have staved off a stiff challenge from the Belarussian combination of Max Mirnyi and Victoria Azarenka to win 7-6 (3) 6-3 and enter the quarterfinals, on Thursday. The Indo-Russian pair were a class apart and were on top of the match say live witness.
