Hopes on Sachin for Kolkata test

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indian skipper nonchalantly tossed the coin high up in the air and when Cook made a wrong call, the face broke into a smile. He immediately had his mind decided on what he was going to do next. He announced that his boys would pad up for the India vs England 3rd test at Kolkata leaving Alastair Cook no choice but to bring his whole team onto the ground.

There have been slight changes to the team as the pacer Ishant Sharma would replace Harbhajan Singh while the opponents have fielded Ian Bell and Steven Finn to replace Jonny Bairstow and Stuart Broad.

England made an impressive comeback after Ahmedabad test to level the series, 1-1, at Mumbai. Obviously hurt the Indians are determined, hopefully with an answer to Monty Panesar and Greame Swann who could topple the team with no effort.

India pins its hopes on Sachin Tendulkar, who has failed in the two earlier tests consecutively, expecting him to score a ton this innings, as did his former teammate Sourav Ganguly. The pitch at Eden Gardens could be cracked only with patience but the Indian team seems to be lacking that currently after Sehwag made a feisty decision to score multiple runs in a ball as he was run out in the 11th over. At the crease now are Chetheshwar Pujara and Gautam Gambhir.

Teams: (as mentioned on TOI)

India: MS Dhoni (Capt.), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Cheteshwar Pujara, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Ravichandran Ashwin, Zaheer Khan, Pragyan Ojha, Ishant Sharma.

England: Alastair Cook (Capt.), Nick Compton, Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, Samit Patel, Matt Prior, Graeme Swann, Monty Panesar, James Anderson, Steven Finn.
