Yuvraj Singh, the Indian middle order batsman well known for his quick games that often win matches for India, has delivered again. His instrumental knock of 72 in just 36 balls helped India set a big target of 193 for the Pak opponents. In part, it was this knock that saved India from another loss and pushed it to a comfortable 11 run victory. Yuvi was also awarded the man of the match.
Dinda thrashed Pakistan on the bowling front. Indian bowling which is considered weak by the opponents was not so weak after all. Dinda who didn’t bowl a good first spell had an amazing comeback in the last two of his overs taking three wickets that brought Pak to a standstill and eventually loss. Dhoni played a captain’s innings supporting Yuvi to score big off the bat. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar the hero from the first match couldn’t get any wickets this match though.
Pak started off well but the batting was poor at the middle until Hafeez stepped in and thrashed all the bowlers hard on the leg-side. A few classic cricketing shots were a treat to watch but he later fell prey to the Indian bowling attack.
At the presentation ceremony a happy Dhoni said, “It was important we capitalized on our start. Told Yuvi let's treat the balls on merit. In the end, we got 10 runs more than we would have been happy with.”
Commendable game boys! Let’s see this continue to the ODI’s that would begin on December 30.
