MS Dhoni files 100 crore defamation case on Zee

Indian captain Mahender Singh Dhoni has filed a Rs 100 crore defamation case against private television channel Zee network for making allegations of match fixing on him.

Dhoni in his petition said that the unverified reports about the IPL betting scandal have damaged his reputation and in return has demanded Rs 100 crore as compensation.

The Madras High Court has issued an interim order restricting Zee group from telecasting any news involving the India captain in the IPL case.

Dhoni is the captains Chennai Super Kings of the IPL team which is owned by BCCI boss N Srinivasan.
