KCR Announces SOPs For Tollywood:- Telangana Chief Minister KCR promised that the government would support Telugu cinema during this tough coronavirus pandemic times. As promised, the government of Telangana announced SOPs that would benefit Tollywood as a part of their election manifesto that is released ahead of the GHMC polls. The minimum power charges for all the theatres across Telangana are waived off for six months in the state. This would be a huge boost for the exhibitors across Telangana.

For all the movies that are made on a budget less than Rs 10 crores, the Telangana government would offer GST reimbursement. All these films will have to be shot in Telangana. The Telangana government also announced flexible plans for screening the shows and there would be an increase in the price cap for ticket rates to compensate the losses. These announcements would sure help Telugu cinema in this pandemic times. Apart from these, KCR also announced that the theatres in Telangana would reopen very soon.

He said that the GO related to the reopening of theatres will be issued very soon and he asked the Telugu film celebrities and producers to take a call on the theatres. Going with the current update, the theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will reopen from the first week of December following all the issued social distancing guidelines.
