NATA first convention at historic George R Brown centre

The North American Telugu Association’s first convention is to be held at the prestigious George R. Brown Convention Center on the on the east side of downtown Houston between the June 29 – July 01. The show is to bring all Telugu people together for a wholesome entertainment fare.  Every detail has been taken care of, by the organizers who are planning an all-out Telugu fare including the menu and the decorations. NATA is supposed to shell out a whopping $1.3 million to make the event a grand success.

The organizer committee is spearheaded by the Chair Showri Nandagiri and assisted by co- Chairs Krishna Pasumarthi and Sivarama P. Sakamuri. The convention centre of 11 blocks is spread across 2 million square feet. The program shall be highlighted by performances and cultural events marking the rich heritage of the Telugus.

NATA would like to award the youngsters in the age group of 16-25 for outstanding accomplishments in various fields by presenting them with TSR-NATA Youth Awards. Nine awards are given in association with T. Subbarami Reddy Lalitha Kala Parishat International (India) to the awardees for their prowess in cultural arts.  Apart from this there are going to be various other events packed in the schedule based on latest trends in Medicine, IT, literary, finance, and on other interesting issues. The event would also unveil the NATA MAATA, a souvenir. A miss-not event to all Telugus in the US say sources, so much packed in the three day tenure is sure to amuse all of you.
