Mahindra & Mahindra has marked the 70th Independence Day of India by launching a new bronze green colour scheme of the Mahindra TUV300. This new colour marks the "spirit of freedom" says the Mahindra and the same is offered on "Made On-Demand" basis.
This new colour option won't be charged for and will be made available at the existing prices of the Mahindra TUV300 trims. While the base variant is priced at Rs. 7.38 lakhs, the top spec variant is priced at Rs. 9.74 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). With only new body paint, there will neither be mechanical nor visual changes to the TUV300.
So, the same 1.5-litre mHawk 80 series diesel powerplant is retained set to 80 bhp and 230 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, while AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) could be opted for in the T6+ and T8+ trims.
TheĀ Mahindra TUV300 is built on a ladder frame chassis, based on Mahindra's modular platform that makes the TUV more sporty, bold and aggressive. The chassis also enables the SUV to speak of all-terrain capabilities.
Offered in seven colour variations, they are the Glacier White, Bold Black, Dynamo Red, Verve Blue, Majestic Silver, along with the new Bronze Green shade, launched to celebrate the 70th Independence Day of India.
Despite being a compact SUV, the Mahindra TUV300 is almost a spacious seven seater with the two jump seats in the rear. The Mahindra took inspirations out of an army battle tank and hence made the SUV look boxy, rugged and sporty.
The rivals of the Mahindra TUV300 are the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Ford EcoSport and the Tough Utility Vehicle has been able to gain some share of its market in the compact SUV segment.
