Rs 17,000 Cr Central Aid For Polavaram?:- Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan is expecting the fund for the implementation of the rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) package by the central government by the end of this month.

If everything goes well, the Central government will release Rs 17,000 Cr by the end of this month, by which many families displaced at the time of polavaram will be benefitted. The funds will also be used for construction, The dream project of Andhra Pradesh public, Polavaram is expected to finish by June 2025.

CM is confident of finishing Polavaram by 2025 and supplying water for the Kharif season in the same year.

YS Jagan has visited the flood-hit areas of Kunavaram and VR Puram. On this occasion, CM addressed the media and expressed his confidence in central government funds. He promised to release 5,200 Cr as an immediate release after receiving the central government funds and said he will implement the R & R for the 48 habitations in 32 villages.

The families were joined in Light Detection and Ranging survey, which is to ensure the affected families get relief without fail. CM has also promised Rs 5 L per acre for the acquired lands. Lands were acquired for Polavaram at the time of YS Rajasekhar Reddy's regime and YS Jagan also mentioned TDP about their execution of the Polavaram project. He said they just passed years without constructing the project.
