A Pune-based unanimous devotee presented a 2.5 meter golden shawl to the Shiridi Sai Baba this morning. The shawl, made up of one kg of gold and American diamonds, is worth around Rs.25 lakh.

The temple authorities said a person came to the temple early in the morning and presented the pure golden shawl. “The devotee said he has a vow to fulfill towards Sai Baba and accordingly presented the shawl. He requested us not to seek his details,” said a temple official.

In this accompanying picture, the temple priests and officials are seen spreading the shawl at the sacred feet of the Baba for offering it to the Lord with special Pujas.
