The union home minister P Chidambaram has exuded confidence that the Centre would soon find a solution to the Arunachal Pradesh-Assam border dispute. Briefing the media at Ita Nagar, Chidambaram has said that the meeting of two state chief ministers had been convened in June. He has also said that the one man commission constituted by the Supreme Court of India has been looking into the issue of ascertaining the border line between the state by making use of most advanced technologies.
Elucidating the developmental programmes that the Centre under took in Arunachal Pradesh, Chidambaram has said that the Central Government had spent as many as Rs. 154 crore last year towards the developmental activities in the state and this year the Centre has released Rs. 92 crores, he said.
We have to wait till June to know whether the meet between two ministers would be successful or not.
