
A court in Delhi had charged a store officer in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and four other people with corruption and cheating. CBI special Jude LK Gaur had charged R L Prasad a store officer at the renowned AIIMS with graft charges during 1996-98. Four others who were accused in the case were retired junior store officer Ram Phal, S S Bhudauria, S D Sharma and Rajiv Rastogi, proprietor of Rajiv Enterprises.
Prasad according to the allegations, had been involved in the buying medical products from Rajiv Enterprises while causing losses to AIIMS.
According to the court it was also clear that in all cases where supply had been placed ignoring the rate contract, Rajiv Enterprises was the only supplier. It said that the five members have been misusing their power and position as public servants and had committed an offence.
