With a thumping win in the elections, Narendra Modi became the light of the nation which has been stuck with scams, corruption, price rise and many more in the last few years. The only agenda BJP had in hand to defeat Congress is corruption. Narendra Modi who campaigned in every corner of the nation, reaffirmed time and again that his government will provide 'good governance' and corruption free. At a public rally in Kargil on August 12th Modi caught the attention of the country with 'na khaoonga, na khane doonga [won't take bribe, won't let others take]' remarks. In the Independence Day speech Modi reiterated that his government will work for the poor

Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been doing all the exercises to keep his party and partymen away from corruption. We are bringing few Modi's rules to his MPs and he even did not leave central ministers. Probably never a Prime Minister has done this to his cabinet colleagues.

CCTV in Ministries

Narendra Modi's office has given a nod to install closed circuit televisions [CCTV] in all the cabinet ministers offices and they are the places where key decisions are made. All the headquarters of ministries will under the CCTV scrutiny hereafter and first in this list is Petroleum and Natural Gas ministry. Defence ministry is second in the list.

Though this decision is might make few ministers uncomfortable, they have no other option rather than to stay clean and in fact it will built their image rather than doing cheap politics if were caught in any scam. All the ministers are tight lipped about and ironically CCTV installation is an informal pilot project.

Cabinet Note with PMO directions

The union ministries will no longer prepare cabinet notes on their own about their future plans. If the ministers' are planning to introduce new scheme of things, the ministries will have to consult the Prime Minister’s Office and wait for the PMO instructions for drafting cabinet notes about their functioning and future plans. This can be indirectly called as micro-managing.

The oppositions need a small loophole to find fault in cabinet note and in the past many issues have come which even disturbed the Parliament sessions. Narendra Modi who has advised all his ministers to come thoroughly prepared for the cabinet meeting and address the issue with clarity.

Advertisements under scanner

The Prime Minister's Office [PMO] has directed the Information &  Broadcasting ministry’s Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity [DAVP] to provide all the information and data about  advertisements that were given to media houses in the past ten years. PMO wants to know much money did the government spent on advertisements and stuff.

This is a bad news for media outfits as many of them have survived with the government's money in the past decade and in fact we can say, few mainstream newspapers were running with the government's pocket money. One of this is a pro-BJP newspaper but the NDA government is least bothered about this. However, the government sources declined to comment whether it will continue to pump money to the media houses or reduces this.

Constant watch on Ministers'

Leaving no stone, all the cabinet ministers' are always under the PM Modi's third eye. Here are two instances where Modi has shocked his cabinet friends.

Example 1:

A minister was having a meal with a top industrialist in a five star hotel in New Delhi. The businessman is also quite close to Modi and before the minister breaking the bread, he got a call from the PM Modi himself. It was a brief call and Modi asked the minister whether he is done with the meal. The next moment, the Minister wrapped his meal in the star hotel and without wasting much time headed his office.

Example 2:

Another minister is on his way to Indira Gandhi International airport for his first even foreign tour. As the minister was travelling abroad, he became little trendy, wore jeans and some candid clothes. On the way, his phone rang which is a call from Modi. Don't know what was the message, the minister asked his driver to drive back to home. The minister reached the airport after a while and was spotted in the traditional kurta pyjama.

The above two examples are enough what kind of fear Modi has created among his cabinet colleagues. Ministers' are now avoiding to use personal phones and started using mobiles of their drivers. Not only ministers' even bureaucrats are under the scrutiny of PM.
