A Nampally criminal court today ordered the Punjagutta division police to register cases against the Justice Sri Krishna Committee and its members and submit a report to it.
The orders were passed by the court in response to a petition filed by advocate Valilur Rehman who alleged that the committee chairman and its members have made derogatory remarks against the Telangana people in its secret notes enshrined in the 8th chapter of its report submitted to the Centre on the issue of Telangana.
The contents of the 8th chapter are also prepared in such a way that they would create a divide between the peoples of Telangana and Seema Andhra on the one hand and also between Hindus and Muslims on the other, he alleged in his petition.
The court asked the police to book cases against the committee chairman and members under sections 418, 153A, 504, 505 of the IPC and submit a report after investigations.
