Andhra Pradesh Ministers accosting from Telangana region has been strengthen in view of increased threat from statehood campaigners.

Statehood seekers have been issuing threats to ministers asking them to resign in order to bring pressure on the Congress high command to concede the demand for Telangana.

Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) leader M Kondandaram has announced that henceforth they would target ministers from Telangana as part of the ongoing agitation for a separate state.

Also, TDP gave a call to people of the region not to allow the ministers to move in their villages since they did not quit the ministerial 
council.

Two days ago, state Labour Minister Danam Nagender was allegedly attacked by TRS workers in Secunderabad here.

The JAC is seeking to target ministers for appealing to the government employees to call off their agitation.

The Police top brass reviewed the situation here today and said every step is being taken to ensure safety and security of people and their democratic representatives .

Sources in Intelligence Security Wing (ISW), that takes care of VIP security, said apart from the regular personal security, additional escort was also being provided to the ministers, particularly from Telangana. Telangana ministers have also been asked to keep the police informed about their daily engagements and movements.

Additional security has also been posted at the ministers’ quarters at Banjara Hills after statehood seekers had made vain bid to sneak in there at least on two occasions in recent days
