The first additional judicial magistrate of Vijayawada town today ordered the police to register a case against TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao for making derogatory remarks against Brahmins of the Seema Andhra region.
One Mr Govindarajulu Srinivas filed this petition in which he said that KCR has denigrated the Brahmin community of the area by his remarks that Telangana Brahmins are highly principled while the Seema Andhra Brahmins would prefer exhibitionism.
KCR made these comments at the end of the Maha Chandi Yagam he conducted recently on the outskirts of Hyderabad and repeated the same remarks at another occasion.
After hearing the arguments by the petitioner’s lawyer Subba Rao, the court ordered the Satyanarayana Puram police to book cases against KCR under sections 153, 153 A, 153 B, 500 and 506. The police accordingly registered the cases.
