The Medak Munsiff Magistrate court granted bail today to TRS leader Harish Rao who was arrested and lodged in Medak district jail for his involvement in the Rail Roko.
Following the bail, he was released from jail and he along with his supporters reached Hyderabad later in the afternoon.
KTR thanks Banswada people
Meanwhile, TRS leader K. Tarakarama rao thanked the people of Banswada constituency for electing its candidate Mr Pocharam Srinivasa reddy in the by poll. “Elections are also part of the Telangana agitation and this has once again proved by the Telangana people through this by poll,” KTR told journalists in Hyderabad.
He said it would be better for both the congress and TDP to have an introspection of their role in the agitation. “If the congress leaders feel they have achieved a lot by securing deposit in the by election, it is nothing less than a political insolvency,” he said.
TRS victory due to its leadership
T congress Rajya Sabha member Mr K. Keshava rao said the TRS won the Banswada by election as it is in the forefront of the Telangana agitation. “The congress got some votes because of the presence of some hard core pro-Telangana leaders in the T congress,” he told journalists in Hyderabad.
