Harish Rao demands Rs.25,000 compensation per acre for Farmers:- In the span of 100 days under the Congress rule, 180 farmers tragically took their own lives, according to T Harish Rao, a former Minister. In light of this devastating reality, Rao is calling on the Congress government to provide compensation of Rs.25,000 per acre to the affected farmers. Since the Congress came into power, farmers have been grappling with issues related to power and water supply. In addition to this, there have been numerous instances of transformers malfunctioning and motors exploding. Despite this dire situation, the Congress Ministers have failed to offer any consolation or support to the grieving families, as Rao has pointed out.

During his interactions with farmers in the Palakurthy constituency on Sunday, Rao expressed his disappointment with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's priorities. He accused Reddy of being more interested in welcoming new leaders into the Congress than in addressing the needs of the farmers, particularly in terms of providing water. What is truly disheartening is that despite the availability of water from the River Godavari, the Congress government has neglected the farming community by not supplying them with this crucial resource. As a consequence, almost 20 lakh acres of agricultural land have dried up, and the unseasonal rains have further damaged countless crops, Rao revealed.
Rao has been highly critical of the Congress party, especially in regards to their failure to fulfill the promises they made to the farmers. Prior to the Assembly elections, the Congress had made grand assurances to the farming community. However, it is evident that these promises were merely empty words, as the farmers continue to suffer without the support and resources they were guaranteed.
