TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu said today that mega star Chiranjeevi who launched his party PRP two and a half years ago in the name of social justice has now joined the congress party for his selfishness and own justice.

Speaking to media men in Kadapa after consoling the farmers who suffered heavy crop losses at Simhadripuram, the TDP chief said that the late YSR resorted to illegalities in the construction of projects and earned thousands of crores of rupees in the name of Jalayagnam. “YSR spent Rs.1000 Cr in Pulivendula constituency but not even one acre of land newly got water,” he charged. “The family of YSR was in debts once. How did they earn thousands of crores of rupees?”

Naidu charged that YSR used to send money bags to congress president Sonia Gandhi and Jagan had inherited the corrupt wealth. “If Jagan had been offered the chief minister’s post, he would not have launched the new party,” the former chief minister said.

Promising to implement the cash transfer scheme if TDP is voted to power in the next elections, Naidu demanded the government to implement special packages for the welfare of the hand loom workers.
